Celebrated Afrobeats superstar and songwriter Wizkid has unveiled the official release date for his forthcoming ‘Morayo’ full-length studio album.
The Grammy-award-winning musician shared the date through the official trailer of the album. The nicely shot and edited trailer was posted on his official social media platforms in October 2024.
‘Piece Of My Heart’ featuring American singer and songwriter Brent Faiyaz had earlier been released as the project’s lead single. After its official release, it became the first song to record over 1 MILLION streams in a single day on Spotify Nigeria.
‘Piece Of My Heart’ recorded 1.016 Million streams, breaking the previous record held by “MMS” (870K).
Scheduled to be released on the 22nd of November this year, the much-anticipated album is in honor of WizKid’s late mother who died in London last year. The new single has set the tone for the release of the full project.
Earlier in an X post, the ‘Bad To Me’ hitmaker revealed that ‘Morayo’ is his best project yet in his career. Fans and music lovers are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of its tracklist.
