British rapper Central Cee and professional footballer Cole Palmer have linked up for Chelsea FC’s ‘Wrap Up’ Christmas Campaign.
Aimed at keeping the homeless warm in the Christmas festive season, the initiative encourages fans, players and staff to donate warm clothing to local charities.
Dropping for the truest blues around, the campaign video showcases Chelsea’s new festive range, with jumpers, scarves and baubles. Proceeds from the collection will go to Barons Court Project – the only day centre in Hammersmith and Fulham supporting people experiencing homelessness.
Joining forces to create a heart-warming video with a greater purpose, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Sam Kerr, Suggs and Cench star in the video as Cameos. In addition to the Christmas collection, fans will be able to do their part by donating clothing at a designated drop-off point at Stamford Bridge.
Commenting on the newly launched campaign through a statement shared on their website, Chelsea said “Chelsea Football Club and Chelsea Foundation are working with charities tackling homelessness across London this Christmas and beyond and the initiative launches today. We have famous faces supporting our Wrap Up Warm campaign and there is a heart-warming video to view, and Blues fans are able to donate in more than one way…”
The club continued “Often spoken of as the ‘most wonderful time of the year’, the festive period for many is the most difficult. Nearly 12,000 people were sleeping rough in London last year, with over 3,200 in south-west London alone.
To support the coldest this Christmas, Chelsea supporters and our neighbours can donate warm clothing which will be distributed to those in need across our local community during the build-up to Christmas.”
