The Black TV network in its quest to add some joy and positive energy to its festive weekend as the 2024 BET Awards approaches has introduced ‘The BET Fan Fest Experience’ which will take place on June 28 and 29, featuring an exciting roster that includes Flo Milli, Rob49, Mustard, and more.
The BET Fan Fest Experience, presented by Walmart, will feature a variety of activations and events centered around a celebrity basketball game emceed by Gillie and Wallo, hosts of the Million Dollars Worth of Game podcast; a skating party emceed by Mustard; and a stage at 106 & Park that will host a plethora of performers, including Baby Tate, Marsha Ambrosius, and NLE Choppa.
In addition to music, the Fan Fest experience will feature villages that cater to beauty and style, culinary creations from some of L.A.’s most beloved Black-owned eateries, and entrepreneurship. Aspiring talent can also try their luck at becoming famous by participating in the “Robi Reed Casting Call,” which is organized by Robi Reed, BET’s Head of Casting, the BET Talent & Casting team, and other influential people in the business. The next day, June 30, is the 2024 BET Awards, and Drake is leading the pack with seven nominations. With six nominations, Nicki Minaj, Drake’s Young Money partner, is in second place, trailed by J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, and Victoria Monét, who each have five nominations. As of right now, GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, and Monét are on the initial lineup of performers.
