Award-winning American singer and songwriter Katy Perry has announced her latest album, ‘143’.
Anticipation is building across the globe because the forthcoming album is her first in four years since the release of last album ‘Smile’ in 2020.
The announcement was made through a press statement. ‘A Woman’s World ‘, the album’s lead single and its official music video have been released.
Scheduled to be out on the 20th of September 2024, the 7th studio album of Perry houses 11 songs. On the inspiration behind the title of the project, According to a post from Pop Crave on X, “143” translates to “I love you.” When pagers were used as a primary means of communication in the ’90s, “143” was sent as a quick way to say “I love you,” and aligns with the number of letters in each word.
In her press statement hinting at the release, she expressed her readiness to create a bold, exuberant, and celebratory dance-pop album.
“I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message.”
In ‘Woman’s World’, the 12th-time Grammy-nominated singer flexes her lyrical prowess and ability to motivate and inspire using her music. The song is carved out of pseudo-inspirational declarations for female empowerment.

Perry co-wrote the song with songwriter Chloe Angelides and producers Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Vaughn Oliver, Rocco Did It Again!, and Aaron Joseph. The record comes out alongside a nicely shot and edited visual by Charlotte Rutherford. She is captured in the video surrounded by women as she motivates, inspires, and empowers them as she sings.
The audio and video were all released at the same time. The colorful video is a visual presentation and symbolism of ‘Woman’s World’ has not only amass huge views on YouTube but also boost the song’s popularity and reach on streaming platforms. In less than 24 hours of its release, it has attracted over 1 million YouTube streams.
