Childish Gambino, the musical moniker of Donald Glover, has unveiled a new track, “In the Night,” featuring Jorja Smith and Ghanaian artist Amaarae. This is the latest single from Glover’s final album under the Childish Gambino name, “Bando Stone & the New World.”
“Bando Stone & the New World” is set for release this Friday, July 19th, and will double as the soundtrack for a film of the same name. A trailer for the movie was released last month, further amping up anticipation for the project.
This collaboration marks a global musical coming together. Smith, fresh off the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album “Falling or Flying” last October, brings her soulful vocals to the track.
Amaarae, following the expansion of her 2023 LP “Fountain Baby” with “Roses Are Red, Tears Are Blue,” adds another layer of vibrancy to the song.
With “In the Night,” Childish Gambino seems to be going out on a high note, teaming up with talented artists and creating a multi-faceted project with a connected film. Fans can expect a full experience when “Bando Stone & the New World” drops later this week.
