Award-winning American rappers Ty Dolla $ign and Ye have announced a listening party for their collaborative ‘Vultures 2’ project in Taiwan.
Ty confirmed the forthcoming listening experience in a post on his official Instagram platform on Thursday, 25th July 2024. The announcement has heightened anticipation building on the much-anticipated delayed “Vultures 2” project.
The Taiwan party is scheduled to be held on the 25th of August 2024. Though fans are eagerly awaiting the forthcoming event, they have expressed frustrations over the rappers’ failure to provide further updates on the release of ‘V2’.
“VULTURES LISTENING EXPERIENCE TAIWAN 08 25 24,” the flier of the event shared on Ty’s Instagram reads. The venue and ticketing of the Taiwan party are yet to be unveiled.
On the 23rd of August, the duo will be at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium for a ‘V2’ listening experience, 2 days before the Taiwan edition. Like the South Korean event, Le Grand is handling the promotion activities of the Taiwan party.
Pre-sale tickets will go live on July 29 at 8 p.m. local time, and then the general public will have their shot on July 30. Prices appear to range from $58 to $181 when converted to USD.
The release date of the “Vultures” is yet to be communicated. According to Ty earlier in his Billboard cover story, the duo are done working on the project waiting for a fitting rollout.
“We got all the songs. Basically, it’s just like, How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?” he said. “Certain people will probably expect you to just do the same exact sound. But that sound’s already out,” he added.
Meanwhile, “Vultures 1” was released on the 10th of February, topping the Billboard 200 chart with 148,000 equivalent album units. Vultures 2 was originally slated to arrive on March 8 before being pushed to May 3, and then delayed indefinitely.
