Multi-platinum, Award-winning American singer and songwriter Britney Spears is gearing up for the release of her feature film developed from her memoir, ‘The Woman In Me’.
Spears announced the forthcoming project through a statement on her official X platform.
The memoir will be developed into a feature film by Universal Pictures, with director Jon M. Chu (Wicked) and producer Marc Platt (La La Land) attached to create.
Sharing the news to her fans and followers of her platform, she wrote “Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with Marc Platt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned.”

After a highly publicized trial in 2021, Spears’ conservatorship was terminated. After the conservatorship termination, she released the best-selling memoir, chronicling her life and the conservatorship (released alongside an audiobook version read by actor Michelle Williams) and put out two songs: the Elton John collaboration “Hold Me Closer,” which re-worked his hit “Tiny Dancer,” and “Mind Your Business” with Will.i.am. Spears’ last album was 2016’s Glory.
