British singer and songwriter, PinkPantheress has announced the cancellation of the rest of her 2024 tour dates.
On Thursday the 1st of August 2024, Pantheress announced her decision to pull out of forthcoming Festivals and opening tour slots of Olivia Rodrigo and the band Cold Play.
The singer announced a statement on her official Instagram platform, indicating that it was time to focus on her physical health as she’s “hit a wall.”
“It is with the heaviest heart that I sadly have to announce that I will not be able to continue with the rest of my live shows this year to focus on my physical health and overall well-being,” she wrote.
“It appears I have reached a wall which I am struggling to penetrate through. this will include my GUTS tour, Field Day, Summer Sonic, FORM, III Points, and Australia/NZ appearances,” her Thursday statement read.
She thanked her team and Olivia Rodrigo for giving her the chance to do what she loves to do on a nightly basis.
“I would like to thank all of you, as well as my touring team and Olivia for giving me the platform to perform some super fun shows. I’m sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other’s company once I return to health,” she concluded.
Since the second North American leg kicked off on the 19th of July, PinkPantheress had been opening for Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts World Tour’. Fans hoping to see her show-stopping displays this week are unlucky.
The 23-year-old singer had earlier been scheduled to perform at the III Points festival in Miami and on Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres tour which will be making stops in Australia and New Zealand.
She has had a busy year from a touring standpoint as she headlined her ‘Capable Of Love’ tour which began in Europe before returning to Stateside to wrap up in April.
In July, PinkPantheress went viral after gifting a fan her coach handbag during her MLS All-Star Concert in Columbus, Ohio.
“I was lucky enough to perform in a location I’ve never done a show at, in Columbus, Ohio, so meeting some longtime fans was the best feeling ever,” PinkPantheress told Billboard of the heartwarming exchange. “One of them handed me a custom-made Funko Pop so of course I had to give them my Coach bag in exchange for their hard work!”
