Award-winning American rapper Latto has officially released her third full-length studio album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’.
Released on Friday the 9th of August 2024, the album is expected to catapult Latto into the hip-hop elites of the 21st century. Standing as the ultimate ode to the rapper’s Atlanta hometown, it features collaborations from Ciara, Coco Jones, Hunxho, Young Nudy, Teezo Touchdown, Megan Thee Stallion and Mariah the Scientist.
Latto skates over a soundscape that pulls from trap, Atlanta bass, R&B and old-school hip-hop for a journey through the years since 777 with the help of her close collaborators Poo Beatz and Go Grizzly. The Atlanta rapper has achieved so much success since those years from getting multiple Grammy nominations to topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Before the release of ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’, the Grammy-nominated musician had earlier this year treated listeners with hit songs. She featured pop icons Usher on “A-Town Girl’ and Jennifer Lopez on “Can’t Get Enough”. Following the success of the two collaborations, she again dropped “Sunday Service”, a captivating and ear-soothing record; she later released its remix with Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli.
The newly released album follows her “777” sophomore full-length project. She first announced it in July 2024 through a trailer shared on her official social media platforms. American rap icons T.I and 2 Chainz made cameo appearances in the trailer.
