Former members of South Korean K-pop group, FIFTY FIFTY have reportedly signed with a new record label after exiting from their former label.
The former members which consist of Saena Aran and Sio left FIFTY FIFTY in October following a legal dispute with the label’s agency AATRAKT.
On Monday the 11th of August 2024, Saena, Aran and Sio became the first three signees of MASSIVE E&C after IOK Company announced the launch of the new record label.
“We plan to fully support these talented and passionate members to help them achieve even greater success worldwide,” a spokesperson for the company said in a statement, according to Soompi. “With the team behind the success of ‘Cupid,’ we aim to create a new success story in the global market.”
Following the success of ‘Cupid’, the three former members alongside one FIFTY FIFTY member Keena sued AATRAKT, accusing it of breaching its contract with them by “failing to provide accounting data” and neglecting the group’s mental health, according to the Korea Times.
The agency terminated Saena, Aran and Sio’s contracts in October for “slandering and defaming” them after Keena dropped her lawsuit against it. CHANELLE MOON, YEWON, HANA and ATHENA were announced on August 8th and Sunday 11th as new members of FIFTY FIFTY.
