Mary Earps Becomes First Woman Footballer to be Honored in Madame Tussauds

Following the Lionesses’ historic victory at the Euros two years ago, England and PSG goalkeeper, Mary Earps has become the first woman footballer to be honoured with Madame Tussauds London.

This comes after the public voted for the England star to be added to the highly-profiled and respectable collection.

Mary Earps

Mary Earps is one of the most successful and talented players of her generation, setting paces and breaking boundaries. Her recent Madame Tussauds recognition sets an unprecedented record in women’s football yet to be broken.

The Madame Tussauds is a decorated UK museum famed for realistic wax figures of celebrities and prominent figures in society, from politicians to Award-winning actors and musicians. Earps elevates her long-standing career as she joins the ranks of superstars such as Beyoncé, Stormzy, John Boyega and more in the attraction’s star-studded roster.

Mo Salah, Lionel Messi, Bobby Moore, Wayne Rooney and David Beckham are already immortalised in the museum, but every lineup needs a keeper in the football world.

Starting this autumn, Earps wax figure will be on display at Madame Tussauds London.
