Grammy-award-winning musician Burna Boy continues to shatter records. The Nigerian superstar’s studio album, “African Giant” has again hit another historic milestone as it has been certified Gold in Switzerland.
This comes weeks after the 5th-anniversary celebration of the chart-topping and playlist-dominating album.
The project had earlier been certified Gold in the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands and Denmark. In France, it has been platinum-certified, making it one of the best African albums of all time.
Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, the Burna Boy and YouTube Music held a colourful and electric concert in the US in its honour. The sold-out show featured live performances from Burna Boy, featuring Ghanaian rapper Manifest as a guest artist.
Released on the 26th of July 2019, ‘African Giant’ boats of top-notch collaborations with versatile and mainstream artists such as Jorja Smith, Future, YG, M.anifest, Jeremih, Serani, Damien Marley, Zlatan and Angelique Kidjo.
The fourth full-length studio project of the Big 7 Records act is carved out of creativity and artistry as he blends Afrobeats with Pop, hip-hop, Afrobeat and dancehall for its songs’ compositions and arrangements.
