Irish singer and songwriter Hozier has announced the postponement of his Montana and Casper WY shows over vocal issues.
The singer broke the unexpected news to his fans through a statement on his official X platform on Monday the 26th of August 2024.
The ‘Too Sweet’ hitmaker had planned to perform in Billings, MT at the First Interstate Arena on Tuesday, August 27th and at Casper, WY’s Ford Wyoming on Wednesday, August 28th. He had to postpone the show to heal.
“I want to thank each and every one of you for coming to a show during this run, and in particular those of you who have shown such kind support over the last number of nights while I’ve struggled vocally getting over a recent virus,” the singer on X.
It breaks my heart to do this, but Billings MT (August 27th) and Casper WY (August 28th) are being postponed… pic.twitter.com/oif2yj3TIE

The Irish star added “Although I’ve still really enjoyed getting to connect with you all from the stage, my voice just isn’t getting the chance it needs to recover properly,” he continued. “It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m going to have to postpone the next two shows…. to give my health and vocal chords every chance of recovery for the sake of the rest of the the tour.”
Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets, which will be honoured on the new dates, or to apply for a refund from the point of purchase if they are unable to attend the rescheduled gigs as disclosed by the 34 year old act.
Ticket holders and fans were eagerly awaiting the live performances of songs from Hozier’s newly released ‘Unaired’ EP. The 3-track project features songs recorded during the sessions for his 2023 Unreal Unearth album. Assuming his vocal issues clear up, the singer’s next slated tour date is on Friday (August 30) at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, CO.
