Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Ibrahim Balogun Ayodeji known by his stage name Wizkid has hit an unprecedented milestone on digital and streaming platform Pandora.
The Grammy-award-winning musician has surpassed 400 million streams on the streaming platform.
Wizkid has become the first African artist ever to attain this historic feat on the platform.
Ahead of his forthcoming and much-anticipated ‘Morayo’ full-length studio album, the ‘Bad To Me’ hitmaker had earlier surpassed 500 million streams on Boomplay.
On Spotify, he is the most streamed Nigerian artist with over 7 billion streams. He surpasses the likes of Burna Boy, Davido, Kizz Daniel, Ckay, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, etc.
The forthcoming ‘Morayo’ full album is in honour of WizKid’s late mother who died in London on the 18th of August 2023. According to him in an X post, the about-to-be-released project is his best yet.
