Canadian-Ethiopian rapper and songwriter The Weeknd has finally unveiled his much-anticipated ‘Timeless’ single.
Released in September 2024, the new song features Award-winning American musician Playboi Carti. It follows The Weeknd’s ‘Dancing In The Flames’ single featuring Anitta.
At the Canadian rapper’s one-night-only concert in São Paulo, Brazil earlier this month, he and Playboi performed ‘Timeless’ live on stage for the first time. He also thrilled patrons with the performance of ‘Dancing In The Flames’ and more new songs from his forthcoming ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ full-length studio album.
The duo last worked together on “Popular” alongside the Queen of Pop herself Madonna from The Weeknd’s HBO drama series The Idol, which reached No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 14 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in June.
‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ is the third and final installment of his After Hours / Dawn FM trilogy. ‘Dancing In The Flames’ and ‘Timeless’ have set the tone for the release of the forthcoming album.
