FIFA to Introduce a Super Bowl inspired Halftime Show at World Cup 2026

FIFA has announced that it will feature a Super Bowl-inspired Halftime show at the forthcoming World Cup 2026 slated to take place in the United States.

Produced by Global Citizen, FIFA announced the newly launched show at the just-ended Global Citizen Festival which came off on the 29th of September 2024. Global Citizen, an advocacy group focused on creating entertainment events aimed at eradicating world hunger, has a four-year agreement with FIFA and the 2026 Final will be the first event planned between the two organizations.

Commenting on the show in a statement, the President of FIFA Gianni Infantino said “FIFA’s mission is to develop football in every corner of the world and to have a positive impact on society,”

 “Through this partnership, FIFA and Global Citizen will bring together the worlds of sport and entertainment to actively contribute to a better world. We are committing to a series of joint activities that will help promote access to football and engage fans of the sport in an effort to create positive change in their local communities,” added the President.

Highly profiled and respectable personalities including Hugh Jackman, DJ Khalid and Gayle King were at the launch of the show as Infantino and Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans represented the two organizations to make the official announcement.

In North America in 2025 and 2026, FIFA has two major events with the details of Club World Cup venues finally revealed on Saturday and the 2026 World Cup kicking off the following year.
