American music executive and Founder of independent record label Roll Call, Rob Abelow has projected singer and songwriter Adele’s Munich residency to gross $200 million.
Producers of the Residency, Live Nation announced it through a statement on their official X platform.
The singer will be playing 10 shows across Munich at her custom-built “Adele Arena“. She’ll play for over 30 days in the $130 million Arena’, hosting over 750,000 fans to become the biggest concert event ever.
Reviewing the mini-tour on X, Abelow disclosed that the residency will rake in $228 million, an amount heavier than the $220 million earned from her 44 billion lifetime streams.
According to him, ” I project the shows will gross well over $228m. $163.5m from tickets; $40.9m from merch; $24.5m from food & Bev. For perspective, it would take 58 billion streams to generate that – more than Adele’s lifetime total, all in just 10 shows in Munich”
The Roll Call President added “It’s also expected to generate $612m in ancillary revenue for Munich, a city of only 1.4m pop. Huge win for the city. Maybe we’ll see cities bidding on artist residencies like they’re the Olympics.”
“MY HOPE: Some of the $880m in total revenue generation finds its way back to smaller venues, emerging artists & the arts in Munich. Then, it’s a big W for everyone”
