Adidas and Newcastle United are teaming up to bring back a remake of their 1995 – 1997 kit classic.
The Magpies’ iconic home shirt’s Henley button-down collar to its Jock Tag label is a hallmark of Premier League heritage. And the upcoming reproduction is a faithful replica courtesy of its original adidas logo and Newcastle Brown Ale sponsor.
The black and white strip saw Toon worn by the likes of Alan Shearer, David Ginola and Les Ferdinand reach their highest top flight finish in 69 years during the 95/96 season – often regarded as one the league’s best-ever campaigns thanks to Kevin Keegan’s ‘Entertainers’ and his intense rivalry with Sir Alex Ferguson, who pipped ‘King Kev’ to the top spot.
In 2024, Adidas became the Newcastle’s official kit partner from the 2024/25 season onwards after the sportswear brand signed a multi-partnership agreement with the football club. Fans have already been blessed with clean nostalgia-inspired pieces, including the club’s current away shirt – a nod to the burgundy and navy 95/96 away jersey since the signing of the partnership deal.
Scheduled for release from Thursday the 9th of January, the ‘Entertainers’ home kit replica will be available to purchase via the adidas and Newcastle United websites.
