Award-winning singer Alicia Keys smashes a new record with the song, “No One.” The song has become her first solo diamond-certified record by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA).
Alicia Keys announced the historic milestone through a social media post on Friday, August 16 expressing her excitement.
Sharing a snippet of the music video on Instagram, she wrote;
“A song that is there for us when we need it most. Singing this song, together, all over the world is magical every time. Thank you for loving ‘No One’ the way you do! Keep singing at the top of your lungs!!! We’re diamond status baby!!!!!”
The singer attained the new record with ‘No One’ months after her and Jay Z’s ‘Empire State Of Mind’ earned her her first ever diamond-certified record. The duo performed in their NYC hometown for the first time since 2016 at the 2024 Tony Awards. “Still going Diamond in 2024,” commented her husband Swizz Beatz. “Congrats this is the 2nd one in the past month let’s goooooooooo.”
Released in 2007, the song was dropped as the lead single of Keys’ third full-length studio album ‘As I Am’, At the 2008 Grammy Awards, it won Best R&B Song and best female R&B Vocal Performance.
