Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has achieved a historic milestone on Digital and Streaming Platform (DSP) Spotify with his ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ debut studio album.
Asake’s debut project has joined the few albums on the streaming platform with unprecedented streams after surpassing 500 million streams.
The project is the third debut album to accumulate such streams after Rema’s “Rave and Roses Ultra” and Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone” Deluxe edition reaching 2.4 billion and 700 million streams respectively.
‘MMWTV’ after hitting the historic feat has become his first project to surpass 500 million streams and his YBNL label’s second project to hit half a billion streams.
After signing a record deal with Olamide’s YBNL label, Asake released his debut album on the 7th of September 2022 via EMPIRE distribution. It housed some of his hit songs including Peace Be Unto You, Terminator, ‘Sungba’ remix featuring Burna Boy, Joha, Organize, etc.
