Kenyan artist Bien, formerly of the acclaimed Afro-pop group Sauti Sol, is gearing up to release a deluxe edition of his debut album, “Alusa Why Are You Topless?”.
This announcement has generated significant buzz among fans and music enthusiasts, eager to experience Bien’s latest musical offering.
As one-fourth of the best African boy band, Sauti Sol, Bien’s solo career has been closely watched. The deluxe edition of his album is set to feature collaborations with some of Africa’s biggest music stars, including Congolese sensation Fally Ipupa, Tanzanian hitmaker Rayvanny, and Nigerian superstar Adekunle Gold. These high-profile collaborations are expected to bring a dynamic and diverse sound to the album.
This comes after he recently released a new single titled “Maandamano,” which translates to “Protest” in Swahili. The track, featuring the emerging artist Breeder Lw, addresses the recent political turmoil in Kenya, particularly the controversial Finance Bill. “Maandamano” has struck a chord with many listeners, capturing the current socio-political climate in the country.
He was one of the founding members of Sauti Sol, widely recognized as one of Africa’s premier boy bands. His transition from Sauti Sol to a solo artist has been marked by a series of successful releases. Fans eagerly await the new album, anticipating a blend of powerful lyrics, captivating melodies, and a fusion of African musical influences.
