Nigerian singer-songwriter, Bloody Civilian has announced a break from live performances this year.
The singer announced a statement on her official social media platforms.
The unexpected news comes after the singer lost a family member to a bandit killing earlier this year.
To help in her trauma-healing process, she has cancelled her debut London show.
Announcing her break, she promised to serve fans and music lovers with new music while away.
She wrote in her statement “Hey friends,
I’m sorry, I have to cancel all points east in London. It’s been a crazy year for me. I dropped my first solo single since my debut. I featured on three top 10 singles. I got a song on the Bob Marley soundtrack. I signed two of my first-ever endorsement deals. All the stuff I’ve been dreaming about since I left Abuja was finally happening. As some of you know, I’m from the North and a lot of my family still live there. Last month, I lost a teen family member to banditry.”
