A 14-date U.S Arena Trek
Following two successful shows at New York City’s UBS Arena on the 13th and 14th July this year, Caribbean Reggae and dancehall superstar Buju Banton has announced a world tour dubbed “The Overcomer Tour.” The sold-out shows were his first-ever US concerts in 13 years.
The UBS Arena concert was the tip of the iceberg as the Grammy-award-winning musician will be performing in 14 major US cities on his forthcoming tour.
Produced by a Black-owned company, in association with Gargamel Music and XO Management, The singer will begin the ‘Overcomer’ tour in Lauderdale, FL at Amerant Bank Arena on the 23rd of August 2024.
He will make stops in cities such as Tampa FL, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Inglewood, San Jose, Chicago and then wrap up on the 17th of November 2024 in Brooklyn, NY at Barclays Center.
Speaking on the tour in an interview with Billboard via Zoom, the ‘Wanna Be Loved’ singer said ” In each state of the United States of America, you have different synergy of people, a different melting pot of ethnicities coming together. And when the music that they love comes around, they react in one harmonious way, just enjoying themselves,”
He added “That’s a remarkable feeling to share among the masses. After not being here for quite some time, I look forward to reigniting that passion and euphoria.”
