Grammy-award-winning act Burna Boy again set another record with his ‘I TOLD THEM’ album world tour by earning the highest-grossing tour by an African artist.
The Afrobeats superstar grossed 15.5 million dollars from 15 shows. There is more revenue from six other shows.
According to data released by TOURING DATA, the EMPIRE signed act earned the highest-grossing- arena concert by an African artist in the history of the United States. He grossed $1.725 million from his 7th March 2024 Capital Arena Concert in Washington DC, surpassing his own record set at the TD Garden in Boston.
On his Canadian tour, he grossed $5.7 million from 6 shows, earning the highest-grossing- tour by an African artist in Canada.
After the release of his ‘I TOLD THEM’ album which features American rappers 21 Savage and J Cole, Toni Braxton, Seyi Vibez, etc, the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker embarked on a world tour, selling out and shutting down venues and arenas in Europe, America and the Caribbean.
At the 66th Grammy Awards held by the Recording Academy, Burna Boy thrilled and entertained patrons and music lovers with captivating and spectacular performances at the main ceremony, sharing the stage with 21 Savage, Brandy etc. He was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance with ‘Sittin On Top Of The World ‘.
