Burna Boy has taken on the position of executive producer in the movie business. Alongside Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac—a production firm that specializes on presenting talent from Africa and the Middle East—the African Giant will co-produce the upcoming thriller, 3 Cold Dishes.
In 3 Cold Dishes, Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle—three former sex trafficking victims—are followed as they climb to prominence in the criminal prostitution industry.
Even though they are at the pinnacle of their profession, the men who sold them into slavery haunt them and will do everything it takes to make them pay, so their success does not make the pain of their pasts go away.
Burna Boy will produce the film through Spaceship Films, the production company he started back in 2015 with his mother, Bose Ogulu.
Asurf Oluseyi, who won the 2016 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Short Film for A Day with Death, is the film’s director.
The movie features top Nollywood actors Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua, as well as talented Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, and Senegalese actors, Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.
