After successfully celebrating the 5th anniversary of his ‘African Giant’ studio album, Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Burna Boy is set to release his 8th career project.
On Monday the 29th of July 2024, the Grammy-award-winning musician took social media by storm with announcing his 8th album.
Scheduled to be released at midnight, the project is a surprise because the singer didn’t engage in pre-release promotional activities. He didn’t unveil its cover art, tracklist or release teasers.
Hinting at the forthcoming and much-anticipated album, he wrote “Album Dropping Midnight.”

Fans and music lovers are eagerly awaiting the project, expressing excitement. The heightened anticipation building on the new release testifies to the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker’s global appeal and wide audience appeal. He is set to open another chapter in his career, and possibly get nominations at prestigious Awards ceremonies.
The about-to-be-released album follows Burna Boy’s 2023 ‘I TOLD THEM’ project which featured Byron Messiah, Joe Cole, 21 Savage, etc.
