Cardi B is expecting her third child, she announced on Instagram Thursday, just a day after filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Offset.
The 31-year-old rapper shared the joyous news with a heartfelt message and photos of herself in a red dress, proudly baring her baby bump.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” Cardi B wrote in her Instagram caption.
“Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”
She continued, “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and tests laying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
The pregnancy announcement comes hot on the heels of her decision to end her six-year marriage with Offset, 32. Cardi B’s representative confirmed that the divorce filing is not related to cheating rumours but has been a long time coming. Cardi is seeking primary custody of their two children, son Wave Set, 2½, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6.
Offset, who is also a father to sons Jordan, 14, Kody, 8, and daughter Kalea Marie, 9, from previous relationships, has not publicly commented on the divorce or the pregnancy.
