On the 10th of July 1982, Award- winning Canadian musician Celine Dion made her debut visit to France, Paris to record her new album “Tellement j’ai d’amour”
During the visit, Celine Dion visited major cities and places in Paris including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.
Posing for a picture at the Eiffel Tower, the singer dreamt about performing live from the Tower some day. As a young girl coming up in the music industry, she only had a dream.
Exactly 42 years later, the Grammy-award-winning singer has made a comeback, performing live from the highly-profiled and prestigious Tower on Friday the 26th of July 2024. She performed to an estimated 1 billion viewers and patrons who joined the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. The performance was a testament to the fact that dreams do come true with determination, commitments, hard work and resilience.

Stunning at the ceremony, the ‘New Day’ hitmaker soulfully and melodiously sang Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” from the prestigious Eiffel Tower. She cemented the show-stopping display with her captivating voice, beautifying her stagecraft with her colorful costume. The audience’s energetic reaction to the performance testified to her global influence and audience appeal.
In a post-event statement on her official X platform, she wrote;
