Canadian singer and songwriter Celine Dion has slammed U.S. former President and Presidential candidate Donald Trump for playing her Titanic classic at his rally in Montana.
At Trump’s recent rally in Montana, a member of his staff decided to play Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic. Many consider Titanic a metaphor for Trump’s sinking campaign.
Reacting in a statement shared on her official social media platforms, the Grammy-award-winning musician and her Sony Music label described the usage of the video as “unauthorized”.
She stated categorically that she doesn’t support the usage of the musical recording at the rally.
“Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.
