Chris Brown Sells Out Africa’s Largest Venue ‘FNB Stadium’

By

Award-winning American singer and songwriter Chris Brown has sold out Africa’s largest venue, the 94+K capacity FNB stadium in Johannesburg.

Day 1 of the 2-day concert came off on Saturday the 14th of December with an electrifying and show-stopping performance by the R&B superstar.

Chris Brown couldn’t have had a better and memorable day 1 of his show as he went all out for his SA fans and patrons. In a video shared online, he marvelled local supporters by dancing to Biri Marung, doing the Cash Kontant Huh challenge.

The American star thrilled patrons with performances of some of his career hit songs including ‘No Air’ featuring Jordin Sparks, ‘Under The Influence’, ‘Sensational’, ‘Residuals’, etc. The night became more memorable and a fun experience when he brought out Nigerian Afrobeats singer Lojay for the performance of their hit songs ‘Sensational’ and ‘Monalisa’ remix.

Brown will be taking centre stage tonight for the second phase of the concert currently trending on various social media platforms.

The singer first announced in October that he was coming to Johannesburg for the show, exciting fans and sparking a heated debate among women activists and civil rights organizations. One South African Women’s Rights Organization petitioned to cancel the event, accusing the singer of being an assault.

The second leg of the concert tonight promises to be more thrilling and exciting following the buzz the first phase has created. Brown’s display at FNB Stadium is a testament to his global stardom and audience appeal.
