Global Citizen Africa has unveiled the highly-anticipated Move Afrika Tour, headlined by Grammy-winning artist John Legend, with stops set for Kigali, Rwanda on February 21, 2025, and Lagos, Nigeria on February 25, 2025.
The announcement, however, comes with an unexpected twist: Ghana, which was initially scheduled to host a leg of this year’s tour, will no longer be included due to “timeline constraints”.
The Move Afrika Tour, a cornerstone of Global Citizen’s mission to unite music, advocacy, and action, promises electrifying performances and efforts to drive positive change across the continent. John Legend’s involvement further elevates the tour, as the iconic artist is known for his commitment to global causes alongside his stellar musical catalog.
While Ghana’s absence is notable, the tour’s expansion to Kigali and Lagos marks significant milestones in its mission to connect audiences and amplify African excellence on a global scale.
More details surrounding the tour’s agenda, supporting acts, and initiatives are expected to be announced in the coming months.
