Music fans, especially Hip hop fanatics and enthusiasts are currently in heated arguments and debates following the release of the much-anticipated Hip hop series project ‘Hennessy Cypher Africa ‘ by global cognac brand Hennessy.
The summer edition of the rap project was released on the video streaming platform YouTube this month 2024. It is currently amassing huge views and reactions on the platform.
The ‘Hennessy Cypher Africa ‘ project features decorated and top rappers from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and the Ivory Coast. Ladipoe, Sarkodie, Young Lunya, Maglera Doe and Kaligraph Jones are the heavyweight MCs who came together for the newly released record.
In the over 8-minute Hip hop series, the rappers represented their countries hugely with their boundless talents, bars, flows and punches. Their lyrical compositions, arrangements, diction, vocals etc were top-notch and testaments to their versatility and creativity. They merged English with Twi, ‘Pidgin’, French, etc for their lyrical flows and deliveries.
Sarkodie reminisced how he made it from the trenches to become a global superstar with big dreams, living lavishly and luxuriously. He also touched on how complex and complicated it is for creatives in the 21st century to work as it demands the signing of documents and splitting of publishings.
