JMJ had earlier in a Facebook post disclosed the super talented songwriters that bolstered the songstress’ music through songwriting.
“Better late than never. An opportunity to once again thank all who contributed in every big or small way. Love and support, I ask the energies repay y’all with double energy,” the Facebook post reads.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Entertainment’s Kwame Dadzie, the producer stated that musicians including Lingua Kat, Edem, Samini, Sarkodie, Ghetto KB, Wutah Kobby, Stonebwoy, Adi Virgo, Klem and others played major roles in the making of Kaakie’s projects with their amazing songwriting skills. According to him, Unda beatz also mixed and mastered the songs.
“Kaakie was very fortunate but she also worked hard, I have never seen a talented young lady like Kaakie. That girl spent less than 10 minutes in the studio, learning the song and the next thing she is done. Her first take is the best. Even if I recorded 100 takes, I would always go back to the first take” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of Xtra Large Music, born Joshua Raphaelson continued ”I assembled a pool of the best skilled writers and composers. Of course, let me give myself credit. Coupled with my experience in production and music, I just knew exactly what to do”
On the music making process, he added that he would usually produce the beat, give the songwriters a subject to write about, before they composed the songs.
Music journalist Elorm Beenie or the songwriters would always be available to explain the lyrics to Kaakie so she was able to interpret the words well in her delivery as disclosed by the music executive.
He said “Highgrade was the base and it was my studio that all this happened, so today Stone will come in, tomorrow Lingua Kat will come in, Samini, Edem and all the others”
