Since coming into the limelight 12 years ago, English singer and songwriter, Jorja Smith has proven to be a force to reckon with with her creative songwriting skills and captivating voice.

In 2012, the singer was discovered by record producer Guy Moot after her friend uploaded a video of her singing the cover of Labrinth’s ‘Earthquake’ song to YouTube.

Jorja Smith signed a record deal with Sony/ in 2016 and released two EPs later that year into 2017 after her first two singles got broader recognition and listenership. After treating listeners with a couple of singles, she released her debut studio album ‘Lost And Found’ in 2018, a project which peaked on the Official UK Albums Chart.

Years after the release of her debut album, the singer is the latest musician to join the BRIT Awards’ Billion Club with 1 billion UK streams.

BRIT Awards announced the historic feat through their official X platform on Tuesday the 30th of July 2024. The singer joined the Billion Club with hit songs such as Be Honest, Blue Lights, and Little Things.

Jorja achieved the milestone after her ‘Little Things’ single got Platinum certified by the BRITs.
