Since her musical hiatus and vacation began, South Korean K-pop group ITZY’s Lia is announcing her return to the music industry in an unexpected way. In ten months, the singer has updated her social media, sending fans into a frenzy.
In September 2023, the JYP Entertainment signed act began her hiatus after the label announced that she was taking a break from the industry to address health concerns.
The singer was experiencing tension and anxiety following her busy schedule and after consultations with a specialist, she was diagnosed with anxiety disorder according to JYP Entertainment.
Following her specialist’s prescription, Lia missed ITZY’s album promotion and also was unable to join the group on their world tour. She and the members of the group decided that she would miss the album promotion and world tour to focus on her health conditions. The tour has been going on since January 2024.
Throughout her hiatus, fans and music lovers were worried and concerned because updates about her were scarce. Fans were left emotional and teary because Lia recently updated her social media when she attended the group’s concert in Seoul, Korea.
Lia’s fans were more than happy and excited when another update came when ITZY launched their official Instagram page and she shared old photos to celebrate it. In a more thrilling and entertaining update, she shared two beautiful photos of herself on the ITZY fans app, a platform for idols and their fans. In the first photo, Lia was captured wearing a cup and in the second one, she was holding her pet Bella. The accompanying message read “Fighting for today, Bella and I are cheering for you.”
