Kendrick Lamar to Headline Super Bowl 2025

Kendrick Lamar is set to take center stage at the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, and the news has the internet buzzing.

The Compton rapper was announced as the headliner for the February 9, 2025, performance in New Orleans, marking his second Super Bowl appearance after his electrifying guest spot during Dr. Dre’s star-studded West Coast showcase in 2022.

In a teaser posted on Instagram, Lamar kept it simple but impactful, saying, “You know there’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round two’s,” setting the stage for what’s bound to be a high-stakes, memorable performance.

While many are excited to see K. Dot shine, social media has been ablaze with reactions, particularly surrounding his high-profile rap beef with fellow superstar Drake.

The feud hit new heights earlier this year, culminating in Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” which dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for two non-consecutive weeks in May. Fans wasted no time theorizing whether Lamar will bring his Drizzy diss to the world’s biggest stage.

“Love this! Can’t wait to hear ‘Not Like Us’ on the world stage. Drake finna cry in the corner,” one fan joked on the NFL’s X account. Others speculated about a possible surprise appearance from Drake himself. “Special guest, Drake?” one curious fan tweeted, while another humorously added, “Scenes when he brings out Drake and they squash the beef and make out with each other.”

However, not everyone is thrilled. Some fans voiced their disappointment that New Orleans native Lil Wayne was passed over as a headliner in his hometown. “It’s a missed opportunity,” one fan noted, though the overwhelming excitement for Lamar’s performance seems to be the dominant sentiment online.
