Ghanaian media personality KOD has announced that his fashion brand Nineteen57 will be providing clothing for Telecel Ghana Music Awards’ Unsung Winners.
KOD announced the initiative at the just-ended 25th Anniversary Industry Mixer with Artist Of The Year held at La Palm Royal Beach, Accra where he was a host.
The media personality spoke about the inspiration to clothe the Unsung Winners before introducing the 2024 winner, Akwesi Amewuga on stage at the Industry mixer.
According to him, the idea to clothe them came when he watched Amewuga’s performance at the 2024 TGMAs.
“This guy I saw perform on the big night and I tell you when I saw him I said he should be wearing Nineteen57, which got me thinking. From next year, the eventual winner in the Unsung category gets to be clothed by Nineteen57 in the year under review, right from the year they win. I believe in giving people opportunities and that is what Telecel Ghana Music Awards has been doing for the industry for the past 25 years,” he said
