Award-winning rapper and highlife singer, Kofi Kinaata has embarked on a world tour, promoting his new studio EP, “Kofi Oo Kofi.”
The singer began the ongoing tour in Virginia on the 6th of July 2024 and has played shows in Connecticut, New Jersey and Georgia in the United States. He thrilled and treated patrons with some of the unique highlife songs on the new EP.
Kofi Kinaata will be continuing the tour on the 3rd of August in Paris- France and make stops in major cities such as Oslo, Dubai, Capetown, London, Brescia, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and Barcelona before wrapping it up with his annual “Made In Taadi” concert on the 23rd of December 2024.
“Made In Taadi” is an annual music festival the rapper uses to return to his Takoradi hometown, thrilling his people with spectacular performances at the end of every year.
Fans are eagerly awaiting this year’s edition of the music concert as in 2023, he canceled the event for the second consecutive time. In a press statement, his management noted that they faced challenges in securing an event for the 2023 edition.
Released on the 10th of May this year, the ‘Kofi Oo Kofi’ EP is a creative fusion of Afrobeats and Ghana’s musical heritage and genre, Highlife. The well-crafted and nicely written songs testify to Kinaata’s story-telling and lyrical prowess.
