American queen of hip-hop Mary J Blige has announced that she will be releasing her fifteenth full-length studio album ‘Gratitude’ before 2024 ends.
The Award-winning musician will also be hitting the road for her ‘For My Fans’ world tour after the release of the forthcoming album.
Mary J made the announcement when she appeared on the Sherri for an exclusive interview in September this year. R&B superstars Ne-Yo and Mario will be joining her on the much-anticipated tour.
In an Instagram post, the New York native wrote, “When it’s all said and done, it’s never all said and done. I owe my fans a gratitude I can’t put into words, so I put it into a show. The For My Fans Tour coming soon, see you there.”
In the Sherri interview, the celebrated music icon whose career spans over a decade disclosed that the North American leg of the tour will kickstart in January 2025. “If you are a Mary J. Blige fan, this is for you,” she added. “Thank you.”
Fans are encouraged to sign up for the artist pre-sale on Ticketmaster running through Thursday night (Sept. 26), with the presale starting Oct. 1.
Blige will be making stops in major cities including Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Newark, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington, D.C. and more while specific dates and venues have not been announced yet.
While fans and music lovers await Mary’s stellar and electric performances, they will first be served with her 15th full album which according to her will be released on the 15th of November this year.
“I have a new album coming in November. Nov. 15 it’s called Gratitude because that’s where I am,” she said. “Look at my life right now, I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good, I have jobs and opportunities, I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I got people around that care and love me and I have amazing fans.”
This year and next year will be remembered by the musician as her “best years” ever in the industry as before the release of her album and tour, she will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2024 class on October 19th
