Celebrated American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has hit back at critics of her Kamala Harris rally performance in Atlanta.
In July this year, Megan Thee Stallion and Migos member Quavo stormed Atlanta to offer their support to US Veep and Presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Before climbing on stage to open the rally, Megan and Kamala had some backstage fun. Before performing her 2020 hit ‘Body’ at the event, the rapper said “I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies … if you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for,”
Though she has been praised by many for her performance, others have also criticized her for not approaching the event conservatively.
Addressing her critics when she headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago on Thursday the 1st of August, she said;
“Let me pop my s–t real quick,“[People] were fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala. I don’t think they heard what she said.”
“Kamala said she wants a ceasefire,” she continued. “Kamala said she supports women’s rights. And she said she’s tired of those high-ass gas prices … It’s Hotties for Harris, goddammit!”
