Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone’ Deluxe Edition has surpassed 700 million streams on streaming platform Spotify ahead of his Sophomore album release.

The deluxe edition is the second project to surpass 700 million streams on Spotify, joining Rema’s debut album “Rave and Roses Ultra” which has over 2 billion streams.

The milestone testifies to Omay Lay’s rapidly growing global influence and audience appeal. It has heightened the anticipation building on his forthcoming sophomore album.

Following the success of his “Boy Alone” debut album, the singer released its deluxe on the 15th of June 2023 featuring Aitch and Puerto Rican singer Ozuna. The project housed well-crafted songs including his “Soso” monster hit record.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian star is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated sophomore full-length project. In a post on X this month, he tweeted “Sophomore album. Clarity of Mind.”
