Patoranking Opens A Football Turf For Young Footballers In Lagos

Award-winning Afro-dancehall singer and songwriter Patoranking and his Foundation have in the past six (6) years empowered African youth in all professional fields. The singer has been empowering individuals across sectors including education, sports, tech, etc.

As part of his Patoranking Community Empowerment Programme (PACEP), the singer has been undertaking developmental and growth projects. He had earlier given 40 students Scholarships to study tech from a top-notch and highly-profiled tech company ALX Africa.

In a new development, the ‘Abule’ hitmaker has constructed a modernized football turf for young and promising footballers in his hometown ‘Ebute Metta’ in Lagos, Nigeria.

The beautifully-constructed turf was officially opened on Saturday 29th June 2024 as earlier announced in a statement on his Facebook page. The singer and his football team, Zlatan Ibile, dancer Poco Lee, etc were present at the just-ended ceremony.

In a post-event statement, Patoranking appreciated and thanked all who supported him in making the sporting infrastructure a reality.

“Today marks a significant milestone for me, my team, and my community as we open the Ebute Metta West Football Turf – Ojo Niyun Sports Centre. It has been a year in the making, and I am truly grateful for everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. Special thanks to my colleagues who came through, our partners and the media who played a role in making today a reality. Ebute Metta to the World”.
