Award-winning American rapper Playboi Carti has surprised his fans and music lovers with a new single on his 29th birthday.
Playboi dropped the ‘All Red’ record on Friday the 13th of September 2024. It is his first-ever project to hit streaming platforms since 2020.
‘All Red’ was posted on video streaming platform YouTube before hitting other DSPs after rumours began circulating that the rapper would be dropping a new single.
“THIS 1 FOR YAL, I CANT LIE,” Carti wrote on his Opium label’s Instagram page.
Providing the top-notch and chaotic production, the Atlanta rapper reconnects with frequent collaborator F1lthy. “Upside-down cross tat’ on my neck, shut ’em up, uh/ The Bentley is parked outside, my vibe tryna go for a ride/ I put VETEMENTS right on her thighs, I put the mask on ’cause I will be fried,” he raps.
Mixing up his vocals as usual, Playboi Carti dropped the pitch of his voice once again in his new song. Some Hip-hop enthusiasts and social media users have compared Carti’s flow on ‘All Red’ to sounding like Future. They believe Future has had so much influence on him.
“All Red” is Carti’s first streaming release since 2020’s Whole Lotta Red. Although he’s released a handle of singles to his YouTube page in the last year such as “Backr00ms” with Travis Scott, “2024,” “Evil J0rdan,” “Ketamine,” “H00dbyair” and “Different Day.”
