Years after the release of ‘Calm Down’ and achieving massive chart successes, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Rema is still cashing out huge from the biggest Afrobeats song ever in history.
In an unprecedented feat, the Mavin Records singer has become the highest-paid African artist ever for a booking.
According to African Facts Zone report, the singer was paid $3 million to perform at the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani. He is the youngest son of Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani.
Rema treated the guests to an energetic performance of his monster hit song ‘Calm Down’. In a video fast gaining massive attention online, the Indian patrons were seen highly entertained.

He was paid $3 million to perform at the World's 9th Richest Man, Mukesh Ambani's son's wedding in India.

The trending and arguably world’s most expensive wedding estimated to be worth 600 million dollars was held in Mumbai. Celebrities across the globe including Justin Bieber, television personality Kim Kardashian and former UK Prime Minister attended the colourful event.
The world’s richest, Bill Gates, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg and other Bollywood actors were also among the world’s highly-profiled and respectable personalities who graced the event.
Meanwhile, ‘Calm Down’ was released on 11th February 2022 as the second lead single of Rema’s debut album ‘Rave and Roses’. It has amassed over 500 million streams and declared the biggest Afrobeats song in history. Its remix with Selena Gomez currently has 1.41 billion streams.
Earlier today, the Nigerian Pop-star released his Sophomore album titled, “HEIS.” His latest project is said to be a new chapter. It also symbolises his growth for exploring different productions and sounds.
