Spanish football club FC Barcelona have released their Spotify music playlist for 2024 tour and some Nigerian artists made it to the list with Rema dominating.
The team shared their powerhouse playlist on X, exciting Nigerian fans especially Mavin Records act Rema’s. FCB will not be listening to only English and Spanish songs but some well-crafted songs from Africa.
The Mavin Records act is dominating the playlist. From his ‘HEIS’ album, ‘Benin Boys’ featuring Shallipopi, ‘Yayo’, ‘March Am’, Now I Know, Ozeba, HEIS’, Villain and Hehehe made it to the playlist. His other songs that got featured include DND, Smooth Criminal, Bounce, and Reason You.

Other Nigerian songs that got the slots alongside Rema’s tracks are Ladipoe’s ‘Afro Jigga’, Crayon’s ‘If I Be You ‘, POE by Rugger, Collateral Damage by Burna Boy, Love Don’t Cost A Dime by Magixx, Seyi Vibez’s Different Pattern, ‘Bad Vibes’ by Ayra Starr, Blood On Da Dancefloor by Odumodou Blvk and Bloody Samaritan.

The Nigerian songs getting featured in the playlist are a testament to Afrobeats’ global appeal and influence. It also testifies to the fact that the Nigerian genre has dominated not only the music scene but also the world of sports.
