Being one of the most successful Afrobeats musicians who have the genre’s biggest song in history, Rema is at the war front pushing for a wider market and audience for Afrobeats.
The Nigerian superstar has shared that the success of Afrobeats has changed the perceptions people have about the genre, ranking it highly.
In an interview with Apple Music, the ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker held the view that Africans have listened to foreign songs enough, hence it’s time they focus on the continent’s sounds.
He also spoke about his newly released ‘HEIS’ studio album. According to him, the project is helping him to campaign and preach the significance of the Afrobeats genre.
