American singer and songwriter, Sabrina Carpenter, despite weeks of topping charts, selling huge units and dominating playlists is not ready to slow down this summer anytime soon.
Carpenter is gearing up to replace herself at No.1 in the UK. According to midweek sales and streaming data by Official Charts Company, the singer’s monster hit song “Please Please Please” is expected to return to the summit for a seventh non-consecutive week.
The chart-topping and playlist-dominating record, released via Island, follows Sabrina’s “Empresso” record, which has dominated the national singles chart for 14 weeks, and is predicted to tumble 1-9.
On Friday, 19th July 2024, the singer entered the record books of artists to spend most consecutive weeks occupying both top two chart positions concurrently. She currently holds the record with Ed Sheeran at five weeks.
