Malian legendary singer and songwriter Salif Keita has expressed gratitude to Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy for allowing him to share the stage with him at his London Stadium concert.
Keita says it was a pleasure to present his Mandingue music and new acoustic project with the 80,000 fans and music lovers who were present at the stadium.
As part of his ‘I TOLD THEM’ album world tour, the Big 7 Records act took over the London Stadium in the UK and sold out the 80K capacity venue for the second time. In 2023, Burna Boy became the first African artist to headline a concert at the venue.

In a post-event statement, Keita thanked Burna Boy and his mother, including the fans. He also expressed how honoured he felt to be at the concert.
“Honored by this moment with Burna Boy and his mother, Madame Bose. Seeing the young generation honour our African musical traditions is a joy. Let’s continue to glorify our continent through its unique culture.” He wrote.
The Malian star continued “Thanks Burna Boy and the audience at LondonStadium It was a pleasure to present Mandingue music and my new acoustic project to 80,000 people. Thanks for the video and reaction from this fan.”
