Sarkodie To Feature In Hennessy Africa Cypher Summer Edition

Hip- hop music lovers can not wait for the 2024 Summer Edition of the decorated and highly-profiled hip-hop rap series ‘Hennessy Cypher Africa ‘ hosted by global and award-winning cognac brand Hennessy.

Sarkodie on Thursday 20th June 2024 sent social media platforms into a frenzy after he shared a nicely shot and edited trailer announcing the coming of the Hennessy Africa Cypher. According to him, he can not wait for the project to be released.

Ghanaians believe their country’s music industry has been represented well by Sarkodie judging from his previous international and global performances on BET’s Cypher which also featured French rapper Kalash. Appearing on the BET project alongside other African rap gods, Sarkodie gave spectacular and unprecedented bars, flows and lyrical punches.

Sarkodie, AFRIMMA- Award-winner and Kenyan rapper Kaligraph Jones, Mavin Records signed artiste Ladipoe, etc had earlier stormed Lagos for the recording of the much-anticipated project. The rappers represented their countries with their boundless talents, immense global appeal and influence. Their show-stopping and captivating lyrical performances on previous international projects are testaments that they delivered on the Hennessy rap project.

In a pre-release statement on Facebook, the cognac brand wrote on their page;

“Proudly presenting the Hennessy Cypher 2024! We’ve brought together six prolific players from the continent’s rap scene ​ On the lineup: Sarkodie, LADIPOE, Maglera Doe Boy, Didi B, Young Lunya and khaligraph Jones ​ #HennessyCypher2024 #Hennessy”

Meanwhile, the Hennessy Cypher is a highly-profiled and notable hip-hop series which features iconic and talented rappers across Africa who come together as a team to display their lyrical prowess and capabilities in a cypher format. The Hennessy- Sponsored and Powered rap project has branded and sold many African talents and lyricists to the world, giving them global recognition. Ghanaian rapper Manifest, Nigerian rappers Falz, Blaq Bonez, Zlatan Ibile, M.I Abaga, Vector, South African MC A Reece etc are among African rappers who have ever been featured in the project.
