American singer, songwriter and record producer Skylar Grey has appreciated rapper Eminem for getting the opportunity to be on ‘The Death Of Slim Shady:Coup De’ Grace’.
According to Skylar, after a year of effort, her collaborative record ‘Temporary’ with Eminem is what she has to show.
Off Em’s new album released on 12th July 2024, the well-crafted record features the rapper’s daughter Hailie Mather’s angelic voice in the Intro. Showcasing his lyrical prowess, Em reflects on his fear of death and how he might not get to say everything he has to say to his daughter before dying.
In a post-release statement shared on X, Grey said ” I had bad writers block all of last year. Was banging my head against the wall trying to come up with anything worth a shit. Then out of nowhere, “Temporary” happened. I haven’t written much of anything worth a shit since.
The singer added “But if this is all I have to show for a year of effort, I would say it was well worth the struggle. Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Eminem again, especially on a song as deeply personal as this”
Meanwhile, Eminem’s ‘The Death Of Slim Shady’ was streamed 63.6 million times in its opening day on Spotify.
It opens as the biggest streaming day of his career and the biggest of 2024 so far for a rap album.
